The first thing you see when stepping inside this whisky bar is the oversized cask that acts like a tunnel for those passing through to reach the bar counter on the first floor. Large casks are used throughout the bar, forming private rooms on the second floor and housing the washrooms as well.
There’s no doubt about where you are; this is clearly a place to enjoy whisky.
Not only is the surprisingly large size of the cask a striking feature of the design, but also the attention to detail that goes into the construction works to convey the time and effort behind the process of making the whisky that the patrons are enjoying.
Although it might seem like a somewhat humorous design at first, there’s actually a much deeper meaning in the use of casks throughout the bar.
